Terra Tokens are a means to empower players allowing them to take more control of the narrative into their own hands. Players are given one token at the start of each session. The token accumulate across sessions and can be saved for greater impact later. Players can also transfer tokens between one another.
Terra token are distributed by the GM when they feel a player has done something particularly satisfying, cool, funny, or unexpected. Whether it's a choice in combat or role-play, playing into a character's faults and quirks even when inconvenient for the player should also be rewarded with tokens.
Token Usage
1. Re-roll Pre-Results (1 token): When you roll a low number that you worry is too low to for your desired result you can use a Terra Token to re-roll that dice and take the higher result. It can be used on any dice roll including damage, but has to be used before you are made aware of the results of the roll.
2. Re-roll Post-Results (2 tokens): You roll and are made aware that your roll is too low to get your desired result you can then re-roll that dice and take the higher result.
3. Stabilize and Stand (1-3 tokens): With the use of one token you can stop the dying process and remain unconscious at 0HP. With an additional two tokens you can also be brought back to consciousness with 1HP.
4. Add an Advantage (3 tokens): You can add a d4 advantage dice to a any skill check.
4. Flashback (3 token): When encountering a scenario that you are unprepared for you able to initiate a brief flash back that allows you to prepare for the situation. Forgot to grab your weapon? Not if you have 3 tokens to spare.
